TSHIRT WILD WORLD

Why did you say "yes" to this collaboration?
« We're both passionate about fashion. We’d been eyeing up the textile sector for a while, but we were waiting to find the right partner. With Engton, we wanted to focus on the idea of a nice, sustainably manufactured t-shirt that encourages you to get moving, get creative. The drop also includes a sweatshirt and a t-shirt and shorts set. »
What is your biggest take-away from the experience?
« The brand focuses on unique drops, with a limited number of pieces. We immediately felt at home with this way of working. And a truly creative dialogue took hold as the project progressed. It was also interesting to reach out to a new audience, one that isn’t necessarily familiar with our murals. »
What was your main creative inspiration?
« The different elements of the drop are a sort of flashback on the first part of our careers. We developed a slightly different take on our cut-out patterns and iconic female characters, adding typographic elements. We took part in endless colour tests. Working on new media, such as textiles, proved to be an exciting artistic challenge. »
Who are Clarisse and Cathy, the creators of this drop?
« We met in La Cambre. Since setting up the studio in 2017, we’ve specialised in creating urban works such as the mural at the Simonis underground station and the revamp of the Ursulines skate park in Brussels. »
